Nestled within hectares of trees-dotted parkland, this historic villa commands an excellent position that overlooks the Tiber Valley and Tuscan hills. Built with 6 bedrooms for 12 guests, Dimora Cardamini dates back to the 18th century and is today a palazzo that is full of personality, colors and yesteryear stories to create a most fulfilling stay for guests. Besides the sprawling gardens and outdoors over several levels, guests will be suitably impressed by the exquisite interiors that reflect the grandeur and sumptuousness of the original palazzo in its heyday.
All 6 ensuite bedrooms at Dimora Cardamini showcase a beautiful blend of modern and historic, with carefully-selected interior furnishings and glorious frescoes that are complemented by the elegant pieces of antique wooden furniture. The bedrooms are spread over 2 floors namely on the first floor and second floor. Whichever guests choose, they can be sure of the finest luxury to rest their bodies upon at night. The first floor consists of a double bedroom with a shower and private balcony, followed by 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom with their own showers. On the second floor, is where guests can choose from either the bedroom with a king-sized bed or the twin bedroom, each of which comes with its respective showers. For a touch of opulence, did we mention that the bathrooms in fact come with marble showers?
The sprawling gardens of over 1 hectare that are spread over several levels certainly make living here like royalty, while the parkland itself measures an immense 25 hectares to boot! The swimming pool spans 12m X 6m that is open from mid April to mid October, with sun loungers and parasols lined up for some desired relaxation. There is also a jacuzzi for use, a barbeque facility, outdoor shower as well as alfresco dining that seats 12 guests. All around, lush rolling countryside views are what guests can expect to soak up throughout their time spent outdoors.
The interiors itself measure 500 square meters with a split-level ground floor that is wonderfully atmospheric in all of its spaces. Enhanced with wooden beams, terracotta tiles, and stone, the materials certainly come together to imbue a welcoming sense of warmth, romanticism, and vintage traditions that fit into the villa’s rural setting. The lounge is fitted with sofas and armchairs, while the main dining area is meant for all 12 guests as satellite television, stereo and the ambers from an ornamental fireplace light up in the background. There is also a smaller dining area for 4 pax and the kitchen area is designed with another 6-person dining table while equipped with high-end amenities including oven, microwave, American and Moka coffee machines, toaster, blender, juicer, dishwasher as well as 2 fridges, where one comes with an icemaker.
The services offered here for guests are just as outstanding as the magnificence of this villa. The team goes the extra length to ensure that guests are greeted with a welcome buffet, while being ushered to some complimentary wine tastings at the winery and even a monastery tour! There is also mid-week maid service for 2 hours, and a host of other arranged services can be requested such as private chef for hire or catering, welcome hampers and pre-stocking of the fridge, local day trips and tours, airport transfers and babysitting services. Other extra services at a chargeable cost include transfers, tours, car or bike rental, and the hiring of a chef or a sommelier at the winery.
Dimora Cardamini is located less than a 10-minute drive away from the lovely village of Monterchi, which teems with a range of restaurants, shops and interesting attractions to visit. Guests can also make the most of tasting opportunities at its famous winery. Hop for a 30-minute drive and guests will arrive at historic cities like Arezzo and Citta di Castello. The Lake Trasimeno Regional Park is a natural paradise that is just about an hour’s drive away with its glorious lake and where guests can spot many birds and wildlife thriving there. Just outside the villa’s boundaries at 500metres is free fishing available at a private lake.
