Trullo Le Fate is an original trullo house, located in the Puglian countryside, alongside a beautiful villa and surrounded by age-old olive groves and fruit trees. While retaining the natural characteristics of a trullo house, the owner managed to create an exquisite and stylish interior. One of northern Salento’s most enchanting towns and UNESCO protected site, Ostuni, known as La Città Bianca with its labyrinth of lanes and stunning views of the sea. This location is ideal for all ages as there are various activities suitable for a wide range of age. Quality and warmth are added by personal touches such as little objets d’art and antique furniture. Guests can take in the beautiful scenery and experience what it’s like living in a trullo home.
This luxurious property sleeps 6 guests comfortably in the 3 lavishly furnished double bedrooms, whilst the sofa bed can accommodate 2 additional guests. There are 2 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with showers in the main villa, as well as the double sofa bed in the kitchen-diner. A cosy raised double bed in the alcove and a bathroom with shower.
2 further bedrooms are found in the new home adjacent to the main village, built from stone allowing it to perfectly blend with its surroundings, the trullo homes. Air-conditioning and underfloor heating are some of the added features, whereas the towels and bed linens are of the finest quality.
The extensive gardens around the home that have been landscaped with pretty stone walls and little steps leading down to the poolside area. Guests can relax in the Puglian sunshine while sipping wine from the vineyards of Salento al-fresco or preparing a feast by the stone barbecue. Guests also have access to a little kitchen garden and with all sorts of seasonal delights from the fruit trees. The extensive outdoor space afforded multiple alfresco dining experiences in different areas of the lush green spaces - an open dining area, terrace, semi-open gazebo.
The large swimming pool is great for quick dips especially when staying between May to October. Guests can also freely use the poolside shower before and after using the pool.
The house was beautifully styled by the owner, an interior design enthusiast who chose each feature with great care from the intricate tiles in the kitchen and the beautiful prints scattered throughout to the exquisite old Italian lamps.The main villa has a fully equipped kitchen cum dining area that has a door opening out to a lovely veranda looking out to the swimming pool, extensive lawn and olive trees beyond. The trullo has open steps leading either side to the flat roof and grounds that are slightly terraced in parts with little stone steps leading from the trullo down to the villa and swimming pool. The open steps are aesthetically beautiful but guests should be careful especially with children.
The friendly staff are always ready to welcome and serve their guests from the beginning of the stay all the way to the very last day of their stay. Mid-week light cleaning is provided while other on-demand services that can be requested include maid services, childcare services, private-chefs or catering and local day-trips or tours and more, with a little additional costs.
A car is absolutely necessary to explore the surrounding areas. Towards the west of Trullo Le Fate, less than an hour away, discover the idyllic Ionian shores whereas the crystal-clear sea of the Adriatic is only 20 minutes away from here. Ceglie Messapica, a lovely town dating back to medieval times with a particularly good reputation for its cuisine, is only about 7km away. Some of the incredible beaches here include Torre Guaceto with its nature reserve featuring sand dunes and lagoons or the sandy beaches of Torre Pozzelle and Lido Morelli. Youngsters will be kept busy in this lovely area with plenty to do.
