Located just a few kilometers from the village of Montalcino, guests have the pleasure of staying in a property that is restored by the owner who has aarchitecture and interior design background, hence imbuing total respect into the villa with Tuscan traditions. Additionally, he has tastefully combined some of his personalized furniture pieces with vintage items, creating an interior that is fit for interior design magazines; in fact, many publications have published stunning photos of this place over the years. The tranquil location enables guests to also enjoy spectacular views like Val d’Orcia and Crete Senesi, and the villa alone consists of a main stone-built farmhouse with a guesthouse for the perfect vacation.
This rustic and earthy 6-bedroom villa offers accommodation for 12 guests, with air-conditioning for all the rooms up on the 1st floor of the main house. A tour around the ground floor takes guests to the 1st double bedroom that comes with a 4-poster bed and an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub. Then up on the 1st floor, 4 more bedrooms unveil themselves to guests, namely the Master Bedroom with a 4-poster bed and its ensuite bathroom with bathtub; a double room with ensuite bathroom and bathtub; as well as a double bedroom and twin bedroom that share a joint bathroom with bathtub. Guests also have the privilege of requesting 2 more portable air conditioning units on top of the fixed ones available on the 1st floor. Over at the guest house which can accommodate 2 guests, the twin bedroom also comes equipped with its own ensuite bathroom.
The 15m X 6m swimming pool is tucked serenely in a spectacular position that overlooks the outstanding views of Val d’Orcia and Crete Senesi. Around its perimeters are paved terraces where sundeck chairs are parked around for guests to sunbathe and chill. More lounge chairs are available in the rear of the property for guests to make use, while taking in the quiet and coolness of the green scenery all around. An open kitchen is also built on the verandah that is furnished with a dining table and chairs for guests to have their alfresco dining while immersed in the garden views.
The home interiors have been restored with total respect to traditional Tuscan architecture while furnished with a mix of furniture that were personally designed by the architect owner and the inclusion of some antique pieces. From the entrance hall on the ground floor, guests will be swept off by the sumptuousness of the vast living room that opens out to the garden and patio, as with the equally spacious dining hall that features a rectangular solid wooden table and which comes fitted with a magnificent indoor fireplace. More magic happens in the fully-equipped kitchen where wooden ceiling beams look down towards the fine materials and another dining area housed within this space.
Guests have complimentary Wifi Internet throughout their stay and also have mandatory cleaning services of 15 hours per week performed for them. They can also request for 2 more portable units of air-conditioning should the temperature rise during the warmest summer days.
Located just a few kilometers away from the village of Montalcino, this is an area renowned for wine production where guests are free to arrange tours to some of the surrounding wine estates for wine tasting sessions. Just a 5-minute or 3.5km drive away is the famous Castello Banfi, in which guests can visit cellars and hamlets, enjoy some more excellent wines as well as their balsamic vinegar, and choose to dine in any of the fine restaurants. It is also near enough to other Tuscan villages for some sightseeing and to towns like Siena, Arezzo, Montepulciano and Monteriggioni, among others.
