Villa Volsini is a spectacular country house with four elegant bedrooms, four bathrooms, traditional Italian manor house furnishings, and a beautiful outdoor swimming pool. It is located close to the Tuscany border in the Lazio province and overlooks the beautiful Lake Bolsena. The villa's grounds are perfectly manicured with grassy areas, cypress trees and pristine hedges. The estate was featured in the Times "Top 10 villas in Italy 2019" for its beauty and elegance.
The villas four bedrooms are spread over the first and second floor. The second-floor bedroom has low ceilings and is accessed by a steep staircase, therefore not recommended for young children. Each bedroom is filled with charm and vintage gems and looks out onto the Italian countryside.
The master is bright and elegant with orange hues, a double bed, a large wardrobe and an en-suite with a walk-in shower and bath. Each of the bedrooms have spacious double beds with crisp white linens and splashes of 1920s colours.
When you arrive at this beautiful villa, the first thing you notice is the long driveway lined with cypress trees that leads you up to the manors exquisite facade. The courtyard has plenty of parking. The villa is set in ten acres of stunning landscaping. Perfect for walks around the garden in privacy. The swimming pool has multiple sun loungers surrounding it alongside manicured hedges creating a mini walled garden feel. The alfresco dining table has remarkable views across the rolling countryside and has seating for ten guests. There are multiple shaded and un-shaded nooks, perfect for reading a book and enjoying the bird calls. There is also table tennis, BBQ and foosball area around the back. The villa has beautiful lake views.
The ground floor has three main rooms. Each is filled with antiques and neutral earth tones. The spacious and modern kitchen is fully equipped with a casual breakfast bar and is next to the dining table, accessed under a stone arch. There is also a small office space here with a library. Near to this is a large sitting room with leather armchairs, an open fireplace and a lounge area with a large comfortable sofa and Satellite TV with PlayStation 2 and a Wii console. The villa seamlessly combines the historical feel with vintage pieces and the ease of a more contemporary property. The villa has an iPod dock and a music station.
The villa offers safety and comfort to future guests by always including final cleaning, fresh bed linens and full disinfection to adhere to Covid standards. A property manager nearby speaks English if you need any help, and the villa also provides a pre-pay mobile phone with credit.
The villa is very rural, and it is necessary to have a car for convenience. It is nestled in-between sprawling land dotted with old farmhouses, forests, vineyards, ancient hamlets and winding rivers. Located almost perfectly centrally between the vibrant cities of Florence and Rome, it is well known as Italy's green heart. While you will feel beautifully isolated in your oasis, shops, restaurants, and markets are just a 4km drive away in Grotte di Castro. A well-known winemaking town perfect for trying delicious cuisine and indulging in locally grown wines. Lake Bolsena is 10km away and perfect for all sorts of water sports.
