Close to the Dikwella market town, this rental villa has one beautiful lagoon, many islands, and beaches with reefs and sand bars close to it. You can enjoy just the kind of holiday you want here. It can be a laid-back vacation within lush greenery and the blue sea – blue and green combine to create magic. Or, you can enjoy many activities – swimming, water sports, sailing, and beach hopping.
The luxurious Little Cove House is a part of the bigger Cove House estate. But this villa is completely secluded as it stands at a distance from the main house. Beautifully decorated throughout, this villa will offer you complete privacy. You will also be able to enjoy the privileges that only a larger community can offer. The location, scenery, ambiance, facilities, and things to see and do – everything makes the Little Cove House a great choice.
This is a small 2-bedroom house in Sri Lanka for a family of 4. You can also book this villa as two couples or a group of friends. The bedrooms are on either side of the living room. They both have four-poster antique king beds with plush linen and high-quality mattresses. There are armchairs, bedside tables, a chest of drawers, and dressing areas. One bedroom has a television.
Both bedrooms are air-conditioned for your convenience. The beds are covered by mosquito nets. However, you can remove them if you want. The ensuite bathrooms have large mirrors, basins with modern faucets, and showers.
The estate has three pavilions, all constructed in traditional Sri Lankan Palladio style. The Little Cove House is only 50 yards from the main house but a lush garden separates it, which ensures total privacy. It’s a fabulous green space that will provide relief to your eyes and help you relax. Wake up to the call of the birds that nest in the surrounding tall trees. Go to sleep in the night with complete silence all around. If you are seeking relaxation, then this family-friendly home is always a great choice.
Immediately outside the home, you will find a manicured lawn that extends to the edge of the tall trees. If you are traveling with young children, you can safely let them run around and explore the garden, while you bask under the sunny sky. The private swimming pool is placed at the center of the garden under the shade of tall trees.
Inside, you will find the home to be absolutely stunning. It’s an example of how beautiful Sri Lankan architecture and design can be. Several antiques and objects of art have been hand-selected by the villa owner and placed in the rooms to decorate the spaces. Even the doors and the windows have a rustic charm. The tiled roofing façade, tall ceilings, and terrazzo flooring are typical for this part of the country.
The living room is a work of art. It is semi-open, which connects the interior with the surrounding natural splendors. You will find several armchairs and a plush sofa that also serves as the dining area, as the dining table is placed in front. There is a huge sculpture of an elephant and a beautiful chandelier.
Housekeeping is done daily. There is also 24-hour security at this villa. You will also find an off-street parking area. The Little Cove House doesn’t have a kitchen. However, there is a chef at the nearby main house who can prepare your breakfast and the other meals. You can order food from outside as well. For a charge, you can ask for laundry service and a babysitter.
You can see the beautiful Dickwella Bay in front of the house. It’s a beautiful small bay with emerald water, perfect for morning and evening walks. Visit the nearby Mawella Lagoon, which is just 15 minutes away. Nilwella Beach, the Nilwella Fishing Harbor, the busier Dickwella Beach, and the Kudawella Beach that is surrounded by palm trees.
